Sticker bombing...
How can I add personality to my £3000 matt gunmetal space grey laptop? shove a load of 99p stickers on it... YES!!
But its not a simple as that... what stickers, what shape, what colour? we careful craft the placement to look random, to have no meaning, but every subtle angle each sticker takes adds to our personality and our own style.
We start with one cool pop art sticker of a dog on a skateboard and it soon becomes a layered visual feast for the eyes. Nods to fashion, films, music or brands... anything cute, funny, furry or censored. All for other people to extend their look as we open our laptop across from the coffee shop table. Out of the corner of our eye we see them gazing in our direction to see if they can relate to any of the vast array of graphics and designs we have treated them too.
Why does sticker bombing look so cool? Well its so simple and quick... and obviously we love that the stickers are cut to shape :)... its like all rules have been broken, just an explosion of our personality. In fact it was one of the reasons cut out prints exist... wouldn't it be cool if we could do the same to our walls in our homes? hmmmm if only we had a poster that was cut to shape...
